Blisterexe@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is there any community dedicated to puppy play and the like?3·2 days agocan be, but is also often distict. It’s more of an evolution of the sub-dom dynamic, the appeal is that the “puppy” can let themselves be ordered around and kinda take a break from thinking. At least, that’s what i’ve heard…
also, a lil fun fact is that the word puppy comes from the french word poupée, which means doll.

Also, hi friendica user!
The language thing is fascinating to me, thank you for sharing

Blisterexe@lemmy.zipto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•GitHub - beeper/bridge-manager: A tool for running self-hosted bridges with the Beeper Matrix server.English51·1 month agoNew desktop isn’t electron, and of course it’ll need your email, it’s a chat app.
But the real cool thing is that it’s a matrix client (that federates!) and all the bridges are open source, the company maintains most all of the bridges to corporate chat platforms.
Blisterexe@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Lemmy, what is your "I'm calling it now" prediction for the next 10 years?4·2 months agoCanada will become a de facto part of Europe. Bike lanes will be added.
We already have bike lanes, I’m offended
Blisterexe@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•You can add one word to the vocabulary / general use, what would it be?2·2 months agoPas de problème!
Blisterexe@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•You can add one word to the vocabulary / general use, what would it be?5·2 months agoFunnily enough we don’t even use “gran(d) merci”, at least not anymore, we use merci beaucoup instead, because we french are incapable of speaking concisely
Blisterexe@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are some aspects of UI/UX seen in modern websites that really grind your gears?1·2 months agoWhat would be your opinion on making a website that has no scroll because it’s just a single, small page, and the hijacking scroll to do some useless visual thing because scrolling wouldn’t do anything anyways?
Blisterexe@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you know anyone in real life that uses Lemmy?4·2 months agoI am real, but a bot is situationally reposting my stuff from other platforms to make me appear active here.
Blisterexe@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What’s the dumbest thing you ever got in trouble at school for?7·2 months agoThe mental image of a kid explaining they were just eating graphite with stained teeth made me giggle, thank you

Blisterexe@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the wrongest thing a teacher ever told you?2·3 months agocanadian here: i had a ski part in gym class last year and literally everyone in the class was at least decent, and most were zipping around the ice.
Not directly related, i just thought it was funny that candians are living up to their stereotypes.
the amount of people who provide help for free on forums that could easily charge like 200$ an hour for consulting is crazy
