Me? You changed the subject first haha. Is it just as easy to launder both?

Well, you know what you need to do, right?
I dont know anything about that, tbh. But I struggled to imagine they are bringing that much american currency into their banks. PLUS, trump has done this multiple times and many others have, too. Thats a very different thing, I think youll agree.
Yes, but, its nearly impossible to launder 250 million dollars of bills into your pocket like trump did

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is a good Documentary/movie that would break conservative without demonizing them on a personal level?
1·22 days agoOh heellll ya. Imma check that out, thank you.
Yessss true but enough commerce happens in usd I think.
THAT is the one,ya. It basically just allowed mass corruption.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do most Lemmy users know that they're in an echo chamber and their actions are perpetuating that?
31·24 days agoI see so much hate for ml but every conversation ive had with a ml or MLM is fine and very thoughtful. Whats the issues?
Crypto is, and always has been a way for money laundering to happen. Right now, its almost exclusively used bt speculators, corruption and Libertarian perverts.
I cant remember which Latin american country attempted to switch to it, but basically it just facilitated massive corruption. Same with the trump regime.
Its fucking stupid and only serves to enable corruption. Also, Jefferson Epstein was a crypto pervert

2·2 months agoThats okay, too. But, never stop trying to radicalize her. It doesnt have to be in an overt way. It can be subtle conversations about class politics. That has been working with my parents. Thanks for the update tho! What movie is this?

52·2 months agoDouble respectfully back, I have to agree with the other commentor. I dont think you have a good understanding of what communism is. Which is fine. Global North countries, at the behest of the powerful elite, have made it their life’s mission to destroy communism (i wonder why). They do that while pushing Neo-Liberal ideas and agendas constantly (curioussssss).
In your post, you have identified a symptom of capitalism. Not the cause of societal failures.
Also, unlike saying “humans beings are naturally greedy” (which isnt true), capitalism as an economic system reinforces and rewards any greed fhat MIGHT appear in A VANISHINGLY SMALL amount of people (true sociopaths). Whereas, under communism or socialism, those sociapaths would not only be unrewarded, their entire ideology would be forsaken from establishing a foothold in power (please extrapolate to the rest of humanity).
That said, if you dont want to talk about it, its all good baby. Thanks for listening to my Ted talk.
(Btw, this was all in good faith. Genuinely not trying to mock or tesse you. Just being silly).
Lmk if you ever feel like talking more

4·2 months agoHell ya, best of luck.
The Socratic involves (but if not limited to), asking the person youre conversing with a lot of follow up questions. Continuing to drill down until you get to the root of the issue. Then, you can work backwards to change their thinking to be more grounded in reality.
This is a really bad explanation but it works wonders for Consevatives. Ill give you a real-world example i had with my parents:
Them: “we dont like immigrants”
Me: why?
Them: they take our jobs
Me: how do they do that?
Them: by working for subpar wages
Me: ya, it sucks because it does take jobs away from people in this country. I wish employers were willing to pay fair wages
(Cut short for brevity)
