I recently got a bottle of Melinda’s Garlic & Habanero sauce. It might be my favorite hot sauce that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

Try taking her out on a leash for a while. It may help her knowing you’re standing right there with her while she does her business. My pup is afraid of storms, and sometimes refuses to go out if it even looks like it might rain, but she will go out and do her business on the leash.
I live alone, so I’ll get away with it pretty easily. Whenever I eat a meal with others, I’ll just eat/drink a small amount.
wirelesswire@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How can I start understanding Windows the same way I understand Linux-based systems?English3·1 month agoI work in Windows support. Seeing Access made me shudder.
There’s one team in my company that used an Access database on a network share, and every day, someone would forget to close the application or restart their pc, so their manager would call in to have us manually close connections from the server side so she could access the database. My team brought it up with our management to see about getting them migrated to a SQL database or similar, but someone above us shut that down. My team no longer handles end-user support, so not sure if it was ever resolved, but it was a PITA for everyone involved.

wirelesswire@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If you could explain to your 19 year old self what you are doing with your life today, what would they say?5·1 month agoYou figured out what to do in life and landed a nice career? Nice!
You’re still single? That really sucks.
Our family blew up? Dad’s gone? Oh…
At 19, it was right before a rough few years. My parents went through a messy and drawn-out divorce that I was dragged through the middle of, and ended with my dad dying. Those events helped me figure out who I was and ultimately led me to where I am today, which is in a pretty good spot, but it was a terrible price to pay.
I think we would see a lot more carefully-worded legalese and a lot more loopholes snuck into contracts. Contract lawyers would see a surge in business since many would want to consult a professional before signing anything.
wirelesswire@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If the 90s smelled like sex and candy what did other decades smell like?English5·2 months agoI forgot who exactly it was, but a woman in my life when I was younger, probably a family friend, told me that less is more when it comes to fragrance. A quick spritz across the neck and right wrist was all you needed. I’m not sure why the right wrist though…
Assuming they would have taken more or less the same life path I have, I would want to sit down and trade stories.
“What did you do back at that one time in Summer of '19? How did that go?” I guess I would hear some appalling stories, but I would be too curious.
I have certainly changed over the years. The change can be attributed partially to growing as a person over the years, and partially to major, life-altering events.
wirelesswire@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•If money was no object, where would you be booking your next holiday?English15·3 months agoSince money wouldn’t be an issue, I guess you could charter a sailboat round-trip. Hope you don’t get seasick.
wirelesswire@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How do you deal with the situation of being more angry than you've every been?English9·3 months agoInfuriating that you had that house sniped by someone you should’ve trusted, but if the agency was jerking you around like that, it was probably for the better. House hunting is a frustrating experience even in a good market, so expect more shit like this to happen. I would contact the agency and inform them that you’ll be taking your business elsewhere and why, and leave it at that. Speak with a manager or owner if you can.
Because helping others around you and “doing good” helps build community, which you are a part of.
If you want to look at it from a selfish perspective, doing good and helping others builds goodwill towards yourself, and sooner or later, you may need to rely on others doing good for you. It’s much easier to get help if others think highly of you.
As far as being manipulated, you probably shouldn’t just blindly help people who request it. Keep your eyes open and your guard up when dealing with people you don’t know or trust.
wirelesswire@lemmy.zipto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What do people use in place of paper towels/kleenex/napkins?English4·3 months agoIt’s an… experience, having a cold jet of water spray your nether regions, and also a hell of a way to wake up in the morning. Having a clean butt after you do your business is worth it, though. I know they make them with warm water hookups, but mine isn’t that fancy.
It’s highly dependent on local need, but sometimes projects need fill material, so at least some of it could be sold off to offset the cost.
