    I believe that under the new regulations they are free to change basically whatever they want about the engine at any point. As long as they dont use too many individual engines as per allocation.

    But yeah, logistics wise this would be very hard to change in their design, manufacture and ship it in any kind of short-time future

      I thought that’s locked in now
      Like Mercedes e.g. can’t even be forced to change until mid season, if their engine isn’t up to the now new regs - regarding the compression tests

      But to be honest, I’ve no clue, so gonna trust you and thanks for the information about that

        They’ve already decided the compression tests will change from June, so Merc will have to make sure tĥeir engine fits the regulations at that point
