    Gives the keys to who?

    To a person or family who can’t afford housing

    The everyone else would think its unfair

    Only sociopaths would think that, and they need to fuck off

    Which countries do governments build houses, where a free market already exists?

    Most developed countries already do this, it’s called “social housing”

      Technically I believe the US does it as well. Just all funded so poorly they hit a very negligible portion of the people that need it.

        so if it’s a minority (big if), we should just say fuck them? they cant afford housing but people who already have a house (or two…) might be upset that there are fewer homeless people, so let’s not do anything at all.
