    If I’m not mistaken, the 3 seconds is measured from the car becoming stationary until the pit light goes green. Narrow pitlanes aren’t a factor during that time.

      Yes, but the crew all train for a perfect aligned car. That’s why they all practice hitting their marks.

      When the car is askew / not on its marks it’s a bad pitstop.
