Corkyskog@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do any of you keep a lawyer on hand? Like made a deposit and have him/her ready to call?3·12 days agoYeah, I had the same thing. They were basically like call us back when you actually have legal problems.
I think they just don’t want the accounting headache of reporting thousands of small retainers for no real purpose.
Corkyskog@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•You can broadcast a single thought to everyone alive. What thought would cause **immediate chaos** everywhere?16·12 days agoI think if you said son or sons and left out “Jesus” you would get greater effect. Make it ambiguous enough that it calls to every Abrahamic religion.
Corkyskog@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•You can broadcast a single thought to everyone alive. What thought would cause **immediate chaos** everywhere?8·12 days agoMight as well add a threat to it to really drive the point home.
Corkyskog@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Would you rather live the life of an average person in the current era, or live as an absolute monarch 500 years ago? Why?3·23 days agoYou could just invent bureaucracy lol, or do we get brain wiped in this hypothetical?
Corkyskog@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How are Americans preparing for the Trumpist supply shock?5·28 days agoAli vendors were jacking up prices long before the exception removal date and before even some of the tariffs went into effect.

My SO, now wife were seperated by a few years in college and had known each other before hand. If the relationship is strong, the relationship will be fine.

If a “friend” detonates an IED firework in an abandoned field near your head you will lose that top end… But you will also get really bad tinnitus.
I would like to imagine that it goes off the rules in some books about power imbalances. So the more power or authority an entity has on you the more they are bound, but also the opposite meaning the less you are bound.
Meaning if they break a contract their entire institution crumbles or something, and if you break it then maybe you lose a dollar in the vending machine or something.
Corkyskog@sh.itjust.worksto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are your last-minute purchases before tariff hell begins?10·2 months agoDo you have a garden share anywhere near you? We have some towns near us where you can rent a plot that’s like 20’*20’ for $10 a plot.
A few from further out only plant low maintenance crops that they tend to on a weekend, or have met someone who happily lends a hand on a day when they can’t come.
Gardening is not only a good way to grow savings, it’s also fun! It can be a lot less work then some people realize.
Dragon Kilns. I am addicted to their live porcelain opening channels lol.

My wife also tried to read mistborn but kind of lost her shit when the only thing described was a short kiss across all that time.

My toddler uses a PC rather than a tablet. Can even load up her videos in VLC on her own! (Although I simplified it to the desktop for now so she doesn’t have to hunt through folder branching)
Found some websites with some old school flash games that I bookmarked too.
