There’s been a mod that adds motorcycles and ATVs too but it’s clunky. I haven’t bothered to test the new versions but it used to be that you could only get on and off the bike from one side

This is reminding me of one of my uncles who has become so radicalized by both Christofascist propaganda, and stuff he reads online, that he believes the world is in a “Kaliyug” Hindu term for the final stage of civilizaiton cycle, defined by violence, crime and immorality.

he believes that now, everything is boiled down to “you’re either a good person, or you’re just a criminal” there is no in between.

and if you’re a criminal, he basically beleives you need to be killed. for the good of society.

I didnt just buy the game once, I paid for a “collectors edition” with a bunch of physical merch that I wont see until may or june. and even briefly volunteered to be a community mod. sifting through waves of hateful filth from hostile actors within the “community”. there is a LOT of Russian incited hatred against the game because of the fact the game was Ukrainian

I got incredibly hyped for the game because I had been waiting for it since the late 2000s. watched it die and come back from the dead, and it looked awesome.

the sad reality was that it needed more time in the oven, and I dont think they had a choice. I think they were forced to release it in the state that it was because they couldnt afford another year of no sales and surviving off investors and pre-orders. so what we got was like a 7/10 and it needs a lot more work.

and the political situation in their country where as many as 1/3 of the staff still live and work, is tenious by the day, they are absolutely fighting World War III over there. and some countries are trying to stab them in the back, telling them to just go surrender and get murdered…

Sarcastic Response - one of the GTA Games. Preferably GTA4 for my own 2000s nostalgia reasons. Why? Because its the closest thing to life as we knew it before real life started surpassing the absurdity of the GTA Universe

Serious Response - I cant think of any one game I’d want to spend an eternity in right now, so I’ll cop out with an “MMO”. Probably Second Life. Yeah its full of freaks but you can create stuff and interact with people. Excuse me while I retire into my doom fortress on the original “metaverse”

I dont have any interest in conversing with people who are making jokes about annexing my country, or trying to shove evangelical horseshit into everyone’s mouth. Theres no conversation to be had. I’m 7 or 8 years past trying to talk to most of them.

for the first year of my current job, I worked in a different department. (Service advisor at a car dealership, also, I hated it)

we had a mechanic who was ready to not be a mechanic anymore, and move on to something else (ill come back to that later) and we had a senior service advisor who was a crotchety lecherous old man who needed to fucking retire.

they worked with each other for so long that they had become like an old couple, getting into screaming matches at work, Usualyl it involved the old guy giving a job to the mechanic that the mechanic didnt want to do (he’d throw hissy fits over being given certain types of vehicles),

they had a full on screaming match in the garage where my computer was, I walked in to witness it. I walked away because I hated dealing with either of those people when they were having a manchild meltdown. they saw that I saw them, but didnt say anything.

The next day they’re talking to each other about someone having ratted on them for their fight. and were giving me the murder eyes…

one of the bosses, witnessed the fight on camera with audio… I never said shit. I explained it afterward, to the mechanic and the old guy, the mechanic understood, the old guy didnt want to hear it.

that was 3 years ago, the old guy is gone now, and both the mechanic, and myself, work in the sales department, and the relationship is completely 180’d to the point that we can laugh about those days now.
