Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•(Hypothetical) How to identify Lemmy users?
21·4 months agoYou don’t make any sense. Even if they like AI, it’s not LLMs that tell you dumb things.
There are no aspects of Lemmy that are unique. We are the same people you would meet on other social networks.
Lemmy is just a Reddit alternative. That’s where it stops.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•(Hypothetical) How to identify Lemmy users?
3·4 months agoThere is not. It is federated on purpose. And on instances like Lemmy.org, they don’t even ask for an email. I use a VPN as well, and cycle usernames. So, good fucking luck.
Also, we aren’t super keen on AI here, so you’d be smart to stop referencing it.
Humorously, you could use an agent to help you sort things. If theres anything it’s good at, it’s sorting.
How do you like TrueNAS? I’m too locked in to Synology at this point—with almost 800tb (in physical drives, less actual because of redundancy), and several devices.
.World is just as abusive as .ML
Lemmy is difficult in many respects because you have asshole mods for communities, then asshole admins for instances, and then asshole instances who violate your privacy by sharing personal information like email and IP with each other.
Lemmy is just Reddit with extra steps.
First, don’t do in on Lemmy.world.
