Yes, but since volunteering is a thing, they may think they’re in the clear. Doubt they are though.

Eiri@lemmy.cato Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•To Americans of Lemmy: What food item(s) from Europe can you not live without?4·4 months agoI’m Canadian, but… Fruit, I guess. Some fruit we get from places like Greece, Spain or Italy, both canned and fresh. We could live without them, but surely there’d be moments in the year when we couldn’t get fresh peaches, for example, at the supermarket, without European imports.
But it’s not a majority. We get quite a bit from South America, North Africa, and, astonishingly, as far as South Africa, too.
Though there isn’t much else. It’s rarely worth it to import food from another rich country, all the way across the ocean, in today’s world.
Though interestingly, I bought “canned” soup (actually packaged in a plastic bag) that came from Lithuania, of all places.
Eiri@lemmy.cato Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•I'm stuck at home for the next 9 days, what should I do?3·4 months agoI’d try to use that time to study a language I’ve always wanted to speak.
I’d probably fail and do something utterly unproductive, but maybe you wouldn’t.

I’m gonna be honest, if they used a feature that wasn’t ready for prime time, it’s still on them.

I woke up as if I had just slept for 30 hours, more rested than I’ve ever been, no matter how long I sleep.
It’s got RGB. Man, it must do so much FPS (fabric per second).
Oh yeah often. But there’s a decent proportion of my dreams where I’m not me; just some sort of fictional my brain made up for that night.
And about 80% of the time, if there’s romance in a dream, it’s not me. My brain has trouble fathoming a romantic story with me in it and I can’t fault it for it.
Sometimes I call my colleagues Italians 🤌
(None of them are from Italy, but that pasta!)
