Right, but the core of that idea is that AI is what the water is being used for, thus hating AI. Yes, mayors/governors primarily, but AI is what it’s being used for and the water being stolen is the reason to hate.

9·3 days agoIts also a self fulfilling prophecy, which is exactly what Dems seem to be hoping for. Splitting the vote so facists keep winning seems more and more to be the real goal of most Democrats since like… Al Gore
Whats hot about it? This is the most obvious thing ever; most people hate AI.
If you dont hate it for personally inconveniencing you/ruining your favorite service/being shoved down your throat, you hate it for stealing your local water supply/increasing electricity costs/being loud as fuck/increasing computer costs/expediting climate change/stealing from artists.
That being said, liking AI is very right wing, and right wing people only understand memes, so memes are the best format to convert them

11·8 days agoSounds like my job at a small full-house IT company. We did anything IT related the customer wanted. We got paid $1.2k by a rich guy to fix his son’s Roblox account once.

11·10 days agoI had a screen get burn in (forgot to turn it off, oops) removed it from the laptop, waited 3 days, put it back in and it was flawless again.
I had a laptop that refused ethernet and would only ever use wifi… When the ethernet was connected. No wifi unless that cord was connected. Confirmed it was, indeed, wifi by using a dummy connector.
Bought a 10tb hdd that refused to read anything at all, opened it for giggles/curiosity and found a piece of scotch tape stuck to one of the disks and one of 4 disks completely shattered. The disk was still factory sealed (by appearance, anyways; they still had the antitamper stickers)

Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•One day USB-A will be so uncommon that people will say "back in my day, it took at least 3 tries to put the USB in"English
4·21 days agoUsb-c covers so much that something like 75% of the onea i have are entirely useless for data transfer, or dont have fast charging capabilities, or just… Suck? And sometimes i do feel the need to flip them for troubleshooting purposes or whatever.
I also had a laptop charger that needed to be flipped one specific way. Usb-C will one day die and be replaced with an extremly expensive usb-Delta that everything i wanted but also costs a bajillion dollars

Animal testing typically involves injecting chemicals or rubbing directly into purpose-made abrasions or the eyes of animals. It is MUCH more brutal than it sounds.
Im sure they washed dogs with the final formula.
