Im a victimless crime guy (I use the term loosely and am aware for anyone seeing the term that you can say the user is a victim or knock on effects) so like all this stuff being legal and have felt that way forever. I do want it highly regulated to minimize harm and I think it should be taxed higher than less harmful things. One thing I did not realize until legalization occured that advertising is really problematic with all these type of “adult” activities. So now I am a bit modified in my stance that I don’t think advertising should be allowed outside of the establishments themselves. So no roadside signs about a casino at the next exit and such. To see cigarette, alcohol, drug, prostitution, gambling ads you should have to be in one of those establishments to begin with which should not allow minors. So like kids should not be allowed in liquor stores or bars even with a parent. Things like casinos can have hotels where kids are allowed but no advertising for it there. It should be treated as a seperate business that just so happens to have a path to the casino.

this is a mind blown instance for me. completely aware a buck is a male deer and never made the connection to buckshot. Well. That will certainly make it easier to remember.

the reddit api thing for me as well. I mean I did not use it but reddit was getting bad for so long and it seemed like such bs. Then on top of it I think I had heard about the federation before but just like mastadon. Looking at kbin and lemmy I jumped on kbin. that was lost so I went to mbin but then piefed came up and it felt like it had that kbin spirit so I moved over. You know its kinda funny because I actually hated the initial www having been used to command line stuff. man the newsgroups by the end of the 90’s were just garbage though. I liked that I could personal my excite and then when it died made do with yahoo and then google came on the scene. I really did not think about the whole corpo control thing. hung on slashdot and my mmo’s got me on reddit. Enshitification got everywhere and now I don’t want anything to do with anything that is corpo that I don’t have to.

I have found for awhile that sales are massive now. Like things had changed a lot and not sure if its amazon or walmart but the low price thing made it such that prices were not to far from each other in either time or space (regionally) but last year or so its been like looking for loss leaders. Got to wait and look at ads week after week and then pounce on what you need when its reasonable.

I think the freshness of bread kinda wins out over type. this is what can make naan and tortillas so nice. When you go to places that make it fresh with your meal from the dough they have on hand. Oh man. My wife has this onion bread recipe that is maybe my tops. One of those handed down family things. So moist. Great just with butter but eggs to and a spicy meatloaf. mmmmmm.

Can’t help you with the last. I am just old enough to have been alive and experienced a time when most of society did not have digital devices and kinda watched digital come in and grow up. I get what you mean about the disenchantment but free/libre has never been better and it still has bright potential.

I don’t really think of debate as win lose. If the argument is good it should effect you and help you come to conclusions. Most things are not either or and its unlikely one goes from one extreme to the opposite extreme. If anything it might nudge into a different perspective. Sometimes though something big you never thought of comes ot light and completely changes how you look at things.
