Same here but i bought a few packs of rechagable AA & AAA batteries when good sales were on (such as right now during black friday/cyber monday) and use them in the kids toys.
I find once they start getting bored of one thing and stop using it, i take them out to charge and usually they get rotated into the next best thing they have just got for their birthday or christmas.

How did covid go for you guys?

There was a time where the next day at school/work after a big episode of a popular tv show was on and it was the talk of the day. Now theres much more shows to watch that whatever the network chooses to play, and its great getting reccomendations from friends & coworkers, but it also does suck a bit when im super excited about this show i have been watching and i want to talk about it, but the person im talking to hasnt heard of it/watched it yet, or they arent up to the same episode as you.

You dont have the exposed plate screws like the north american switchplates, Australian ones have a shroud that clips on/off and covers up the mounting screws for a neater finish. (Mounting screws are all flat/posidrive combo heads, so you can use a drill to take them on and off.)

Also to add: all lighting and power circuits are required to be on RCBO’s or breaker+RCD unless they are extremely old switchboards that havent had any modifications done since the law was introduced (as modifying the switchboard would trigger an rewuired upgrade in most cases).
Any device that is in a common area that can be touched by a non-licenced person (ie non-electrician) should also be on a RCBO, but this isnt as well enforced.

So even if you do manage to youch live parts on the Aus socket/plugs, you will be protected by the RCD/RCBO instantly.

The downside to the Aus socket is that it can be a little tricky/annoying plugging something in when you are reaching behind an object (like a couch or cupboard) and cant see the socket to line it up.

As for embarassing, live updates on the screen of last time: farted, picked nose, didnt wash hands, imagined someone naked (including just partially), didnt understand what they were just told, a little bit if of wee dripped out, tries to hide arousal/erection etc.

Would love to see someones ‘imagined someone naked’ counter reset when they are talking to the queen, or ‘tries to hide erection’ when holding hands with ivanka.
