2·4 months agoOp, This is the best answer. I’ve set up a Windows server using this method. I was blown away by how easy proxmox makes the whole thing.
I use rust desk too btw when I need to remote on for maintenance, etc.

73·1 year agoMost posters here are talking about the benefits to the person taking classes as to why online classes aren’t the norm, but let’s be honest here.
When you own a monopoly, you don’t give it up. More online classes would send the message that the “college experience” isn’t as necessary, which would lose the college money.

So many good comments already. I’ll just say that I’m kind of newish to self hosting, and proxmox has been awesome. It’s been awesome to spin up a full os out just some services when I’m interested in something.
