TMI but I have the experience of my parents finding out I was suicidal because they looked around. I wasn’t about to say anything to them about it. Or anyone else. I was a sad and angry teen. They looked out for me as best they could.

However, I never knew for certain that they had until I was much older. I suspected a couple times but they didn’t drop hints or outright say anything. Just adjusted how they were raising me.

I’m stoked to give it a try. I left my last PDF application because they injected AI into it. So I’ve been shopping around a little. I’ve been using Okular, but it’s really limited, even as a viewer. This looks awesome. Nicely done! I hope you keep at it!

I can’t imagine marrying someone that I didn’t consider a best friend. I adore my wife, and my life is infinitely better with and because of her. Our first couple years were rough, but we’ve both worked to improve. We have each other’s backs, support each other through thick and thin, laugh with each other, and just generally compliment each other’s weaknesses with individual strengths.

I detest wife hating boomer humor because it has never once resonated with me. If you don’t love them and don’t love being with them, why marry or stay married, go be happy elsewhere with someone else.

Reading in emotions to text to such an extent that normal punctuation is seen as a negative is rather juvenile.

I wish FPGAs and other more purpose built and purpose suited options were available in my IT equipment. They can do amazing shit, better and more efficiently. Just wasn’t ever available to use for me at least.

I’m not moving any goal posts. You made a statement that equates to “but it is easy if you are american so Americans are whiners” and that’s just plain false. Easier than some countries, sure. But still not easy.

Just because a couple barriers are removed, doesn’t make the process easy and accessible. Glad you can galavant about with nary a care, I wish I were so priviledged as you, but that’s not realistic for the overwhelming majority regardless of country of origin.

The trouble I’ve found with most communities is they are waaaaay more into anything than I am. People get stupid over unimportant details and become annoying pedants that are difficult to talk to because they are more concerned with correcting you than just embracing a shared enjoyment of something.

Still a great idea for some people and media though.

No one is whining about having a strong passport though. You’re giving a false equivalence. In most cases it’s about not having the funds, skill set, or resources to leave.

While there are definitely perks to being an American trying to relocate, it’s also definitely not easy. If you think it is, you are operating under a survivorship bias. Your situation will vary greatly from another’s.
