  • And these people would benefit more from eating a variety of foods, being active and seeking processional help that will try and help them understand their relationship to food better so they can gain control over it instead of listening to gym bros telling them to count calories which is just a diet by another name as diets have an extremely high failure rate long term.

    You’re in the 0.1% and you’re acting like your needs are the same as everyone else. You could find professional help as well, from a dietician specializing in the needs of people like you, which aren’t the needs of someone that’s overweight and inactive.


  • 3k in one meal would be extremely surprising but if it’s the case then it’s a professional you should be talking with, not random people on the Internet.

    Dieticians now include a lot of psychological work in what they do as a lack of control over one’s eating habits is often related to external psychological issues, conditions where people don’t feel when they’re full are extremely rare.


  • Don’t eat more than you are actually hungry for, take the time to eat, drink water instead of all the fun crap, be active, that’s it, you might not become as skinny as you might feel pressured to be but not everyone has the metabolism for it, some people naturally have a higher or lower BMI, it’s just capitalism pressuring us into fitting unrealistic criterias.

    My girlfriend is a dietician and she would be the first one to tell you that the obsession with macros and calories is unhealthy and teaching that to teens would just increase the number of dietary issues in their population.

    Hell, dieticians don’t even talk about that with adults! It’s all about increasing the diversity of food people eat and increasing their level of activity and learning to accept their body as long as they’re able to be active.
