Sit with yourself. Journal. Walk. Be silent. Watch your thoughts come and go. Experience every emotion to the fullest. Get to know yourself again, light and dark sides. Radical acceptance. Radical surrender. Radical forgiveness.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Ghosted by a guy I thought I had a strong connection with but was very physically affectionate on our first dates and suddenly changed his tone - should I follow up?
4·4 days agoBecause men have been given the “a man’s going to be a man” pass for far too long. We live what we learn, and it’s up to us to teach our children better.

3·4 days agoI’m ashamed to admit I have just ghosted people because it’s easier than telling them the truth.
If you’ve learned better and are doing better, there’s no need for shame. Sharing this will make a difference for those who have any sort of decency seed on the matter, and help women learn to choose themselves, rather than work to be chosen. Thank you. I hope you share it more.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you think the USA's official account of 9/11 is legitimate or suspcious?

I was in and out of available low-cost, therapies, often with poor or outright bad therapists, for a long time. It was sort of a convergence of factors that healed me, beginning with someone who said something that prompted me to look up something from early childhood behavioral psych from decades earlier that no therapist mentioned: attachment theory, and from there another year or so of floundering my way along, until I was able to access good telehealth therapy, from a good therapist, who attended a horrible school, and finished out months later, in person.
Yes, there have been ups and downs since, and a couple of times I almost spun out, but was able to catch myself until I was able to get privacy and time to do the work while actually feeling the feelings. The point is, if you really want it, you’ll do whatever it takes as often as possible.
You don’t even have to do that, there are free CBT, DBT, and shadow work exercises that are printable.
Plus boy brains and girl brains often process things very differently.
Sometimes you just have to find out what tools you need, them find and sort how to use them by looking for yourself. It’s not a meal deal at McDonald’s.
That’s bullshit. Most places have free or extremely low cost therapy available. Most. Not all.

5·15 days agoI wouldn’t mind having my FNP or JD by now.
The .ml anti-yakub rule can.
Notwithstanding, 😂👏👏
These references will never be unfunny, to me.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Women 30+, how do you deal with all these symptoms? I've been dealing with all of this ever since turning 30 (am 32)
13·23 days agoAttention seeking behavior. They need to switch doctors, maybe get a FNP since they’re more informed, assuming this is a real issue and not made up for attention.
Think about how it would be if the president was like current POTUS.
It repeats.
Besides that, the cartoon is objectively nonsense.
Not even close.

You are so welcome. I wish you all the best. Most of all, give yourself time, space and love. All of you.
