The coffee grounds.
The coffee grounds.
Yes that’s the point. By purposefully hosting the virus they are endangering everyone who isn’t protected because it’s not a regional thing. It spreads on planes and in tourist areas. Which is why there’s a case from LAX in California now.
Furthermore the more they willfully host it, the more it mutates and risks breaking the containment we do have on it.
We’re all interconnected. Shitty people in Texas can kill us all.
2003 called. It wants it’s bingo space back.
I keep trying to tell people classical liberals were bastards. There’s this perception that just because we can vote that means we can’t be the bad guys. It’s an ideological catechism that actually fits with the above picture. If Fascism is just whenever mass suffering and death is perpetrated but also World War 2 non voting systems run by strong men then it gives the modern person living in a democracy permission to stop paying attention. After all they can vote and their guy would never.
We need to get this through people’s heads, stop putting flashy words on human rights violations and start holding leaders accountable. Because a culture of not being accountable is how you get actual Fascism.
So the thing is classical liberals were (and are) capable of a lot of damage without Fascism. Fascism is a specific ideology. Not the suffering people are capable of creating. It’s important to understand that your normal democracy is perfectly capable of creating mass suffering.
That sucks. I’ve had the opposite experience. Obviously the mental health issues are a thing but usually the people without those issues are keenly aware of why they slid into homelessness.
If you’re set on doing this you need to accept you may never be successful.
Also it has to be something gentle, not necessarily subtle, but compassionate. If you don’t accept that they believe in their views then they will only feel attacked and lash out for defense.
As for actually changing their views, choose one or two things that you can point to in examples they can observe. Propaganda has a very hard time defeating our own eyes and ears. I don’t even know which country you’re in so you’ll have to figure that out for yourself.
Another way to change their views is to get them to volunteer with organizations that help people down on their luck. A lot of times, just hearing the stories of how people ended up in need of help can change attitudes.
Yes. There are people who believe it. I can’t explain it, they have the education, they have the information, but for whatever reason they just want to believe a conspiracy theory instead.

If they can’t change what’s essentially a variable name without issues then should they be doing the job?
They have a reason. You just don’t like it.
I don’t think we can be. We’d be paralyzed if we tried to be wholly serious.
If they weren’t in plain text how could we check to make sure it’s still there?
I wouldn’t put it past them to experience numbers in the per second realm, especially as new data posts and everyone is rushing to grab it.
Held back by his environment.
I laughed but really I know when the last good database and systems people left government to be replaced by contractors. It was Bush’s first term. Since then everything has been just putting a new front end on the back end government programmers created in the 1990’s.
Just so you know census data is very heavily queried. Everything from civil engineering to economics wants to look at that dataset every day.
Oh I just curled up into a fetal ball at the thought of that…
There’s a similar thing in the US but many landlords don’t accept it.
