  • It’s not ready to really replace what it’s meant to replace.

I mean, people are told all of the time to make instances and make servers if the things they’re not seeing aren’t there. But there’s a problem, they’re only one person. It takes numerous people to make a community. The users we have on paper, would say that we have more than a capable amount to make these things possible.

But in practice and in activity, that’s not what we’re seeing. We can’t estimate how long exactly things will pick up as we are nearing 4 years into the fediverse. But we just know that how long it’s taking, we can expect that it’ll be quite a time before the fediverse even sniffs a quarter of activity the big social networks have.

  • Yes it is because you’re basically asking to be banned or posts removed. Your stances do not matter in the way the rules are instilled here. You break them, you’re done for. You are given tools to block the people you feel are bothering you, you’ve no excuses.

All that you’re asking for again is just getting disciplined by a system that does not care about your beliefs. You’re not winning anything and the people you think are wrong are getting the last laugh as you’re treated as the problem you’re being reported as.

So again, get a grip on your maturity.

  • You’re being confrontational, you’re slinging insults unprovoked, you’ve responded to criticism harshly over the image you’ve used that has nothing to do with the topic. You know these things, but look at the way you’re behaving about it.

It’s obvious to me that you’re probably not that new here if your first instinct is to be that antagonizing. Which tells me that it probably lead to multiple bannings in whatever and however many accounts you’ve made before.

Doesn’t matter who started what. It’s evident that you’re hurting yourself more in this than I am.

  • In retrospect, he’s right. Since then, billions of people have entrusted their information online to social media platforms time and time again. To Google. Facebook. Reddit. Twitter. Anywhere and everywhere. They haven’t learned a thing.

In the 90s as the internet was developing, we were warned to be cautious about who exactly are to know what about us as we surfed online. Like it was dumb to make your screen name, your real name or have parts of your real name. It was dumb to make your password resemble things about you or to make it easy to guess.

Nobody can say that we didn’t have the warnings. But by the turn of the 2000s and since, we just didn’t care. And it’s just funnier and funnier how so many people NOW start to care about privacy AFTER THE FACTS…
