Have you ever purchased a game from GoG? If so, chances are it comes DRM-free in which case you could legally keep a copy in your “Game Vault.”
This allows you to have your own local copy to download and install. No GoG launcher required.

Phind.com is a great alternative that provides sources.
Perhaps a model like itch.io offers. Each product can set a price or have a “pay what you want” model. I feel some would be more likely to give money if it’s right up front.
But the biggest part that I think we need, is a centralized location, store or not. Sometimes it’s hard to find if an open source alternative even exists because it could be on Github, Gitlab, Codeberg, etc.
Just a PSA, never ever EVER request deletion of an Oracle free tier if there is any possibility you might want one in the future.
You can delete/remove instances or whatever as you desire, but you won’t be able to get a second free tier account even if the first is completely deleted.
I mean, why not self host an instance of git like forgejo?
Make it February 22 and call it F022 Appreciation.
Am I dumb or is there not a way to share a link directly from F-Droid?
I try the share button, but it tries to share the .apk file.
This is what I use and I almost forgot that I’m even using it until I saw this post.
Edit: It’s on F-Droid but I don’t know how to share the link directly to it on there.

Man… I initially read that as
can’t be fucked with capitalism
and I was thoroughly confused.
It’s sooo challenging, but I try. Buycott helped for awhile, but I haven’t redownloaded since I got a new phone. We typically try to stick to best choice equivalent brands, but I do check the packaging to see if whatever brand is under Nestle.
The hardest part is convincing my SO to stop eating Stouffer’s.
Maybe? I don’t remember if it’s specifically “death” or just some kind of excuse for a game over.
And sorry, I had to look it up, it’s actually The Mummy Returns for PS2.
Here’s a full playthrough of both.
For me it’s a graph where Y is the likelihood that I will boycott and X how easy/convenient it is to find a replacement inversely related to how terrible said company is.
So the worse a company, the harder I will work to find a replacement.
So this is dumb but there is a Mummy game, as on the movie, I think on PS2. You could play through as either O’Connell (Brendan Fraser) or Imhotep (he was fun but pretty overpowered). I don’t remember there being a difficulty setting but I could be wrong.
I beat it with Imhotep but never could beat it with O’Connell. I want to say the final boss was the Scorpion King. I tried so many times.
The only thing I can figure is I didn’t load up on as much ammo, grenades, equipment, etc. as possible and never went back to try differently.
Exactly. This isn’t explicitly piracy. Just because it can be used as such, doesn’t mean it perpetrates piracy. Some prefer to have a backup for their game installers. That’s all this is.
