As far as Reddit I have found a vpn server that does work with it if I change servers then it doesn’t work and gives me the stupid error. I don’t post I just visit the site for information.

I don’t understand the reason for this.

There’s a bunch of mobile car diagnostic guys on YouTube who specialize in diagnosing issues that other shops can’t figure out. There’s also local managed service companies who do it for local businesses and install things like cameras. There’s tons of local business opportunities that aren’t completely scummy but they’re usually extremely niche. And yes there’s still engine shops that are extremely busy especially in farming areas where equipment gets repaired instead of thrown away.

My theory is that people like attractive people so much that attractive people never really have to learn to do things for themselves because other people will gladly do it for them. So they end up stupid yet confident at everything they do. People just like attractive and confident people. If you ever look at leadership around you, you’ll notice that most of them are tall. It’s because we see tall people as authority because that’s how it was when we were kids. The tall people were in charge. Smart people are always unsure of themselves because there’s no way to predict what is going to happen for certain. So that’s why the world is run by overconfident dumb people.

I’ve worked with some mentally challenged people in the past and through customer service. I’d much rather deal with someone with limited reasoning skills than someone who is genuinely intelligent. Intelligent people fail to see their own limitations and don’t know when to be humble. Some of the dumbest people on this planet are academics, top of their field, highly educated. Those people don’t know shit about anything because they’re hyper focused on one teeny tiny aspect of the universe. At least the mentally challenged know that they have limited reasoning skills and are fairly skilled at asking for help and knowing their limitations.

I keep running into maintenance jobs that want industrial controls and electrical experience which I don’t have, just a strong background in mechanical repair and troubleshooting. The problem is that all these jobs are night shift, odd 12 hour schedules with weekends, or travel. So I’m stuck doing production work but on an 8 hour day shift schedule. My work was even offering a two year apprenticeship with 2 free years of school but you have to work 2 more years on nights after that on top of 12 hr days. It seems like it could be a fun trade, but doesn’t seem worth the work/ life balance for me.

There’s a bunch of fakes out there now, especially on Amazon and eBay. Look up Bosch fuel injectors on eBay and you’ll find a bunch of suspiciously cheap listings from accounts with very little feedback.

We used to book computer time at the local library and I would walk by myself at the age of 8 to go play Oregon trail on a green monochrome monitor.

Well it’s not going to simultaneously be a bad time to buy and sell.

No and no, I’m thinking about working for myself as an independent automotive diagnostician. That would still be somewhat unethical and hard work, but at least I’d face real challenges and be helping people on an individual level. I can’t just quit my day job right off the bat due to health insurance. I’d have to start doing work on the side, but business insurance plus equipment and subscriptions would make it difficult to break even. Plus I haven’t worked on cars professionally in about 12 years so I’m not up to snuff on working on newer cars.

Although this can be a real pain as most pensions won’t wire transfer to other countries outside of the u.s. banking system. You’ll get stuck with a physical check that you can’t cash. There are options like having a Canadian or u.s. Bank account or get an account in the island of Jersey.

Got told to go help someone and they got in my face yelling for looking at a piece of equipment they were having problems with. Next day I said I wouldn’t work with them and got told that I can’t pick who I work with. It turns out that you actually can pick who you work with.

Walmart sells the onn android tv sticks for $15 you can customize them and change the font end so that it’s just a few apps that are easy to navigate to.
