Exactly!
I went out to some stores and got him driving on an interstate for the first time as a student driver today. It is gorgeous out and we just enjoyed each others company for a few hours.
You see what you want to see.
Things aren’t great but not “everything is shit.”
Yeah, it’s called whatever social media site/app is popular currently.
They bug me too, that’s why this works for me. I almost never leave them there till the next day.
Planner for long term projects.
Emails stay unread till dealt with in Outlook, same with Teams.
Calendar events for day and time specific things/meetings.
Sticky notes for day to day tasks so I can cross them off. Going all digital just sucks. I like crossing things physically off a list.
Reminders on my personal device for really big DO NOT FORGET to dos. Those are rare.
That’s a mini keg in the US. They’re talking about half that size which is the size of a 2L of soda here.
Lipton is really only for iced tea, not hot.
Haven’t seen anyone mention Cinema Paradiso or The Good the Bad and the Ugly. Both are wildly different. Ennio Morricone is a genius.
There’s also The Incredibles - Michael Giacchino
The Greatest Showman - Various Artists
Saving Private Ryan - John Williams
The Prince of Egypt - Hans Zimmer
The Gospel of John - Jeff Dann (great middle eastern vibe)
This is what works for me. If I’m productive in things I want to do, instead of have to do, I’m fulfilled and okay with going to sleep on Sunday night and not thinking about it. If I feel like I waste the weekend then I have an issue mentally with going to work. Mind, if I’m exhausted and want to spend the weekend watching YouTube or whatever then I’m okay with it. It all depends on mindset.
Song writing is hard. Having a great voice and getting the training needed to be great is as well. It’s rare they both go together and are great. Doesn’t matter to me.
Look at where their kids go to school. The rich never skimp on that.
This was a really interesting read. My job is basically dependent on asking why and cutting through the BS to get stuff done. It’s just … natural in the US. Never thought of that being a reason why we’re successful in business throughout the world.
And that doesn’t even include Alaska.
I’m in the same position politically but DID vote and definitely not for Trump. Your viewpoint has merit.
I don’t recall honestly but it wasn’t working. Either way, be careful because you’re literally at their mercy.
No. Almost lost our house build because it took them so long to unfreeze. Some agencies are easy. Some are outright customer hostile. I won’t do it again.
I’ve never needed to 100% any game. For me that isn’t fun. What’s fun is the journey. Beyond that I’m not interested.
Distant Worlds albums are great orchestral versions of Final Fantasy themes. I use them at work when I need to concentrate and block out my peers.
Well yeah, without it there would be no business …
