Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a TV series that you really, really liked and would enthusiastically recommend?
4·6 months agoThe showrunners had said from the very beginning they had the outline and knew how long it would go. (Also the end of this interview more recently.)
Producers don’t sign checks for shows that expensive without knowing what they’re signing up for.
I’d also say the regardless of debates on the quality (seems like audiences split pretty hard after S1), the general direction of the story was extremely clear and the entire inversion arc was almost complete. Anyway, regardless of if it were good or not, being robbed of a conclusion of any kind is infuriating.

Have detailed descriptions for others how to retrieve your data in case something happens.
Lots of great advice here but this stands out as a really good bit that a lot of people (including myself) need to consider.
Weekend proooojeeeeeect! 🎵
I was really enjoying wallabag for a while, but after an update (or something?) the container no longer connects to the db and I haven’t been smart enough to figure out why yet.
BUT when it works it’s got a nice interface and the Firefox extension clips articles quickly. Biggest downside I’ve run into is the iOS app can’t make highlights or annotations, and it sometimes randomly reloads an article while reading and ‘forgets’ its place.

31·1 year agoManual ordering of images in albums is an absolute must before I adopt any image management system. It’s wierd to me that seemingly none of the FOSS systems support it (considering that most of us are datahoading control freaks).
In this post over only heard of Deva and Our Flag Means Death, but those two alone are so goddamn good that you have my complete trust on the rest! Definitely going to check them out.
