now he has parental controls blocking app downloading

for becoming a president or for voting?
severe disconnect from reality
Something about that doesn’t sit right with me. Seeing how far the definition of an “illegal alien” is being stretched for deportation, I have a feeling people with autism, ADHD, depression, etc, would all be added to the list of people who are “disconnected from reality”
Not to mention some people are dumb enough to argue being trans is a mental illness aswell. (dysphoria is NVM it’s a diagnosis, being trans is not)
The better solution imo is to inform people about what’s going on around them and how to watch out for pipelines.
if I ever make a game I’ll make the seeds just be 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. with no way to change it. Each one can only happen once and never again. Poetic, if not for the computer science nerds that would reverse engineer it.
you probably won’t like this but I like it

most loved: literally any insult from Gordon Ramsay ever
my most hated: literally any name of food. It’s like they picked one of those huge spinning wheels and chose names at random
some people in my family have sensory things where they feel slightly hotter than others. 69f for most of the year, in winter we hardly use the heater since it doesn’t freeze where we live, but my room doesn’t have full insulation since the garage is below it, so I have a little bathroom heater in winter.
If it was up to me probs ~71.
r/countablepixels was pretty interesting too but it looks like all the drama has died out :/
hmmm I don’t really care about having a logo on my undershorts. Usually I’m really bothered about advertisements but in that circumstance it doesn’t really bother me.
doesnt help that every other brand of cycling shorts suck
My brother in laws little sibling is pretty autistic and has a history of being semi-trans-not-understanding…? He saw someone who is a trans male and started HRT a few months ago (i.e. does not fully pass yet) and when he saw the trans man and was told that he was a man he said “but he looks like a girl…?”
for context my brother in law is ALSO trans and has been fully out and passing for like 5 years (beard n all), so he should’ve understood what it was like for ‘trans man’ to be like his brother.
He’s done this with a nonbinary person too, but tbf most people don’t understand how nonbinary works without autism.
What I’m trying to say here is that there’s a difference between hate and not understanding. Sounds like the person you’re talking about is being hateful, so have no shame in cutting contact.
Also if you don’t feel comfortable with someone you don’t need an excuse to yourself to justify leaving.
I went to Philadelphia and there were hardly any places to get water at all. There were always stores selling water bottles literally $8 in one instance around nearly everywhere you looked
Do you have any proof? A photo of a history book or newspaper would add credibility.
the best thing we can do for the Northern Korean people
I think the best thing for the people of North Korea is to not force them to live under a brutal dictator.
I like !unix_surrealism@lemmy.sdf.org. Don’t really understand anything but it’s kinda cool to look at, which I think is the whole vibe
that’s a good point. Do your computers not have cameras?
could you just upload a photo of the cover of a history book?
I don’t think we have many North Korean history books outside of your country so that would give credibility.
I don’t translate their memes, I mostly ignore them. but sometimes there’s a meme that’s close enough to English that I can understand it and those are hilarious
sometimes people will fall for obvious sarcasm, yeah
but it’s important to remember just how much of an echo chamber of jokes Lemmy/reddit/online as a whole are. Most people (Gen z too) don’t even know the loss meme.
Also politics are at the point where the current president can literally blurt out “they’re eating the cats and dogs!!1!1!1” and people will believe it, so political irony is very much difficult to pull off successfully because the lines between !theonion@midwest.social and !nottheonion@lemmy.world are very thin.
As a rule of thumb, if I think the average TikTok watcher would get confused id add a /s, even if I have my disagreements about /s as a whole.
If it’s on wikihow i’ll believe it’s real
put that on a T-shirt lol
Thanks for the correction, I have edited my comment.
