OH WOODROW WILSON.
I thought you meant Harold.
A transferee from Reddit. Also the person who does those imgur meme dumps.
OH WOODROW WILSON.
I thought you meant Harold.
Wilson and Reagan left office before the dementia really took hold at 60 and 78 respectively, Trump on the other hand is 79, one year older than when Reagan left office and has four years left to go, when he’ll be 83, and dementia doesn’t stop for anyone.
Wilson threw in the towel when he realized he was getting too long in the tooth admitting that he was not up to the job. Reagan left office because he legally had to (two terms) which is something Trump is openly saying he will not do.
So one admissions of poor health, one case of being legally required to. Not exactly good arguments against a man who openly is saying he will flout the constitution for a third term.
Oh I don’t think he’s on death’s door, I think however he’s got a condition that makes him unable to be president.
And in another five years, I’m sure he’ll look even worse.
First off, have you ever had relatives with dementia? When you have a relative, especially a close relative, you can see the signs. A drop in the face is one of the most noticeable, often it’s one of the first things you notice, alongside other things like trouble walking, coordination issues, and often Erratic, Hostile behavior. The last one of course is one that Trump has always had, but the other ones can be seen very clearly in most news footage of him. Man’s got issues.
Second off, I don’t know what things are like over there, but here we have public information films that are broadcast on TV to teach people how to spot a stroke, because it’s imperative that you get someone help when you suspect a stroke. The signs are:
The Acronym “FAST” is used here: Face, Arms, Speech, Time. A droop in the face is something that remains for a while after a stroke. Donald Trump very likely has either had a stroke or a severe brain injury on the level of being shot through the head and surviving. If I saw a man who looked like Donald Trump in that picture in the Supermarket, I would stop and ask if they were OK, because I might need to call a fucking Ambulance!
And I’m not saying that for partisan reasons, even with Biden’s senior moments I thought that (as did he) that he was getting too long in the tooth, but it’s very clear this man has dementia and it is developing quickly. His father had dementia and people who have had family members with the condition are at a higher risk of having it.
All of this is an issue because this man is in charge of Nuclear Weapons and is also the head of a personality cult that the ruling party want to maintain no matter what and thus is reluctant to officially at least trigger the Twenty-fifth Amendment. Donald Trump is becoming incapacitated and the Administration is reluctant to accept that.
Despite not being American, the fact that America has nukes, one of most powerful armed forces in the world and are in a Cold War with two others nuclear armed nations with one of them at war with a European country and the other threatening to Invade an ally and the source of the world’s Microprocessors, and has a President who’s very clearly had a stroke and is developing dementia, it is kinda my problem because I don’t particularly want to be vaporized when the Russians slam nukes into Edinburgh City Center and Edinburgh Airport, because I just happen to be in the blast radius of both of those places, ken?
Trump appears healthier than Cheney and Cheney lasted five years longer than Trump is right now. So don’t hold your breath.
My sibling in sin, half his face is drooping.
I’m not vegan and the Minecraft Alpha dropped on 30 June 2010.
Does this mean Trump will die in the oval office after a heart attack and stroke and Steven Millar will be shot?
He lasted a reporter calling her piggy.
He literally is at the stage of dementia where it’s visible in the face and he’s lashing out at people on camera. Why is he still president?

Already happened, but the AI companies will try their best to kill that off too.

And you think they weren’t/aren’t dangerous? You think they’ve never had wars, conflicts, or horrific regimes, or perhaps still do? Do you, Blackbrook, think those aliens were throughout their history and currently, a peaceful union of their planet’s nations? Their ships engines alone can likely be used as weapons alongside the PDCs they use on space debris, and who’s to say they didn’t have to defend themselves getting here?
Are you telling me they’re only going to see our wars and our wars alone and not see our capacity for peace, cooperation, ingenuity, collaboration and curiosity? The cities, megastructures and space infrastructure would tell them otherwise.
If the aliens are going to solely judge us for our capacity for cruelty, then let us nuke Belgium!

I don’t think that is what would happen.
If your have the technology for interstellar travel, why would you need slaves? Interstellar travel implies you have automation, automation means slavery, outside of just being cruel, is obsolete.
If you have superior technology, you’d likely be knowledgeable about the other parts of science and know that you may carry germs that are harmless to you but dangerous to us. They’d likely have learnt this the hard way, like we have.
Also, why would thier first reaction to new life be “Exterminatus”? That ship suggests high technology, high technology suggests science, science suggests curiousity. A lot of the people who say “they’ll exterminate us like rats” either have watched too much sci fi or have a cursory knowledge of history. As someone who actually has history qualifications the reason Columbus killed so many people was because:
Man was a psycho by the standards of his time, but that’s not to say more horrific things weren’t done in the name of economics.
The factors that drove the imperialists of the new world wasn’t “lol just because”, it was mainly capitalism and the need to extract labour from the populace for their own financial gain. In short. Resource extraction driven by the desire for power. Now that’s scary, but we’re assuming these aliens are driven by the same economic factors.
Ok. So let’s assume that somehow the aliens want resources. They gonna get them from Earth? Well, there is nothing here that isn’t found in greater abundance in our asteroid belt or moons bar cultural products or products of life, and most of those will likely not be compatible with them. The earth is far more valuable as something to study, you know, because it’s an independent ecosystem with a technological civilisation, they xeno-biologists and xeno-anthropologists would be all up in that while the rest of the fleet mine asteroids in the belt
Think of it this way. You’re out in the woods, and you see a crow hop across your path, take a twig, and hop back. As your eye follows the crow you see smoke, like from a small campfire. You go into the bush towards the smoke and you find a collection of thatched roof and mud structures about waist high to you and loads of crows living in them. There’s a crow in the background with a little stone hammer building something, another seemingly in the process of smoking fish, and yet more doing various tasks. Is your reaction going to be “they don’t have smartphones so they’re worthless”? No! Your reaction is going to be 'Holy shit, crow village" and you’re going to alert the university because the crows have gone from the early stone age to the fucking Bronze age.
I don’t think the reaction of aliens will be like us to chimps, even if it was, we study chimps, their reaction would likely be “holy shit, they’re sending probes out, they’re doing science” because if a species is too dumb to recognise a fucking space probe as technology, they’re too dumb to actually make it to space.

Lots a creatures “talk” or have “talked” to some degree. Corvids like crows and ravens can communicate what humans are kind or cruel and pass that information down the generations.
The fact that we are apes and can communicate with each other isn’t that extraordinary.

So on one side, I have a history degree, so I could probably navigate the world quite well up until about 1500 or 1600. I know that sounds relatively recent, but I would know a lot about my local area.
On the other side, I’m a trans woman, and history in my country is not too kind to gender variants, though that is not a monolith, a lot of people have been burnt alive or hung for gender variancy where I am back then.

I mean you get that even if you don’t live in a city.
Oh boy do I have news about how actual cash currencies work in reality!
Utopia maybe impossible, but improvement is always better.
Also, almost? Right now I’m accessing this through a VPN because my government has mandated that every single social media website or website with a search feature put up an age gate for anything pornographic or has “sensitve content” for the “protection of children”, meaning to operate in the UK, every social media company has to higher a third party to scan a picture of your face or your passport or ID.
Also, This same government actively wants to strip away basic rights like access to public toilets, hospital treatment, support services, and even things like sports, and believe I and others like me are such a threat they’re gonna bring back Section 28.
So yeah, Dystopia is here.

Wanna know what’s weird? The Far right seem to support this. Like I remember when the war started and you had people waving Israeli flags yelling “Jüdische Ratten” at Religious Jews holding placards saying “Not in our name” and “thou shalt not kill”.
I’ll repeat that, we had people flying Israeli flags yelling Nazi slogans at Jews who were protesting against Israel.
What.
Does this make money into company script and every business, regardless of position or size, a company store?
