Just a joke.

I’ve read that removing earwax constantly can actually cause more earwax production.
Personally I do use qtips after every shower. Most of the time I don’t get anything, and all I’m accomplishing is mopping up moisture. Once in a while I get a smear of orange wax and go in for a repeat. I think it varies wildly though; there is a big distinction between people with dry earwax vs wet, but I think there is also variation within those categories.
That changes the equation enormously. I read their text, and they do say they should be discarded after a use. That could be CYA, though. Do you just wash them with soap and water, or wipe them with alcohol or something?
Well I use like two qtips after every shower.
Finally! A solution the problem that qtips are so inexpensive!

And unless you killed them, then someone knows they are dead.
blackbrook@mander.xyzto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What games have you and your cat co-discovered thru randomness and play?17·4 days agoI once had a cat who liked to play ‘laundry basket turtle’. I think we once put a plastic laundry basket, upside down, over him as a joke. He started kind of lifting up one corner with his nose q and sliding it across the room. We thought he was trying to get out and felt bad, so lifted it up to let him out, but he just looked at us like “stop spoiling the game!”
This cat also liked to play tag similar to what a couple other comments here described.
For bonus points wear them on your head.

Apparently the walls of those cones are thin enough light comes through and the whole thing glowed. Looked pretty cool.

Weird! Ok, I’m less horrified now.
Come to think if it, centipedes are too fast for the thing your dad did. I bet millipides are a lot crunchier though.
blackbrook@mander.xyzto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are three questions you can ask someone new to know if they are friend material or not?5·19 days agoBut that very impulse is inimical to making friends. You make friends by being open to making friends, and by being interested in other people, regardless of whether they are ‘friend material.’
You shouldn’t even be assuming you know or can predict what makes someone friend material for you. One can be surprised.

When you visit the ER, you are seeing individual people. Some people are better or worse than at their jobs. Some care more or less, have different biases. Keep trying until you get someone who takes you seriously. Try different hospitals if you can, some are on average better or have ER rooms that are less overwhevlmed. Be insistant that your problem is serious and getting worse.
