Just last week I was setting up a matrix server.
I considered conduwuit but I had a feeling this might happen. Happy to stick with Synapse. It’s just a shane that it’s written in freaking python.

I’ve been thinking for years. Maybe there’s a way to do a collaborative crawler and indexer. In a similar way on how collaborative science is done. And probably using p2p protocols.
Get a bunch of people together to create the perfect search engine in these dire times.
I don’t know fully what’s they are doing. But here’s my workflow with watchtower.
I have a cron task that runs watchtower every day on monitor-mode and only-once one time a day. That creates a list on what containers can be uograded. They using shourrr (it’s already integrated with watchtower it’s just an environment variable to do this) I send myself a message to my phone informing me of what updates are available. If I see fit to upgrade everything I just run watchtower once without monitor mode to upgrade all. I have pendant to automate this last part in a way that I just answer to the bot that’s informing me of the updates and should apply the command without having me ssh into the server. But as for now I have to ssh and run a script I have at hand to launch the upgrade with watchtower.
There are some problematic containers that I don’t want to upgrade this way. For those I have their compose files version locked and I upgrade them manually when I want.
This. Except for a few projects that have given me headaches for an automatic update before (I’m looking at you Jellyfin). Those I have them locked to a version and only upgrade when I think it’s truly stable (spoiler: stable release was not stable) and when I know I will have time to fix things that may broke.
There’s several factors here.
The most important probably being the energy per square meter. Higher latitudes gets less energy per square meter than equatorial latitudes.
There’s also the mentioned cloud cover and atmosphere density.
The climate it’s also important. As higher latitudes tends to be more cloudy.
And sun hours, here is not about the total energy but how it’s distributed. As sun hours are more estable near the equator (12 hours light 12 hours dark) while in higher latitudes you can get 4 hours light some times of the year that can’t amount to nothing, and 20 hours of day other times of the year which are nice, but there’s no way to store that energy for the winter lack of sunlight.
You are doing way better than I was doing at 22.
I was studying a career that I didn’t like and ended up working as something completely different. I didn’t have a stable job until I was almost in my 30s. You are doing great.
Here goes gossip from my job.
There was this janitor guy that used to be around and we haven’t seen him in a while turns out he was stealing from people’s desks.
You know our ex boss, who was suddenly degraded? Turns out he committed a crime, and he is going to jail in a few months, if you see him happy lately it’s because he is full of drugs to cope with the anxiety.
This woman who just came out from her wedding, all the office know she hooked up with the guy from accounting a few months ago.
These two guys who used to be friends and don’t talk anymore? You know the reason, this pretty new girl both of them fall for her. She had nothing with either of them, but they stopped talking regardless because both think the other one is the reason she don’t hook up with them.
As said by many, there’s a hidden structure that supports everyone here. So every athlete is only supporting themselves.
If you want to see people supporting each other in a tower structure search for Catalonian Castells.
I haver a scar (more like a small disfformity) I regret because I sometimes feel that if I would have gone to the doctor in time (or at all) I would have not have it now. Also I got injured by doing just a stupid thing so it’s sad have a constant reminder of that. But whatever, you end up learning to live with it.
I was a waiter in and out for a year. It’s tiring and you can end up exhausted.
But the needed skills were very simple.
Maybe it depends on the type of waiter? I served on the bar and only drinks, which was fairly easy. And of course I didn’t own the place or anything. We also didn’t serve any special cocktails or weird drinks. I didn’t think that a special skill was needed to do what I did.
I think most of those jobs are actually considered skilled jobs. Are they not?
When I think unskilled job I think picking fruit on the fields, cashier, delivering packages (though you need the driving skill so I don’t know) job that does actually not take much skill, and could probably be 100% learned how to do right in a week.
Nothing bad with an unskilled job anyway. If it needs to be done it needs to be done. Not because doing it takes no special skill means that it is less important.
What I think about marriage is that is not that true or logical. As it is supposed to be a “forever” thing. But it’s obviously not, and it’s not logical that it is.
And making the whole ceremony about how two people are going to stay together forever feels weird knowing the statistics.
At least to me.
Anyone, you are not alone. Plenty of people feel no need to make that ceremony and just enjoy life with their SO for as long as it last, or even forever.
But no heat to those who want to marry. This is just my weird personal opinion.
The weaker part of a conflict is not always in the right just because it’s weaker than the other part and got beaten up.
These are public forums. Anyone can look what’s going on here.
This is not a private space.
Finding nice places to just be. In the city, in nature, where ever but magical places.
The art is already there, but I just find it and let myself be surrounded by it for a while.
It’s impossible to truly prove it. Especially if it was a mixed media process. For instance generating AI image and then painting over that.
And if anyone would want to they could hand paint a picture that would look like AI made.
So, no way to do it with 100% accuracy.
For guys, saying “hi”.
For girls, I have to go hunting a Dragon with the sword of King Arthur to be considered worth of a cup of coffee.
I don’t know what I’m reading.
Here people mostly use debit cards, and we don’t worry about things like credit scores or whatever. Also these cards tend to be free. At the end, they just give you a convenient way of paying with money you actually own.
Why would anyone buy normal stuff using credit? I get it for big purchases as a house or a car. But why go into debt for groceries or a new laptop?
I just wish my language didn’t had any tildes. They are tiring to write and easily forgotten.
I doubt is satire as the project was truly linked with trans groups.
Probably they just count as experience things that are probably not truly experience or maybe there’s a lot that’s being untold there.
