Maybe this invention can be used on places where trees cannot lives, but I’d still take a city with trees over a city full of green tanks.

These in the spots where trees once stood but were too destructive & trees everywhere else imo. Cool tech future AND trees, plus these are benches too it looks like

trees dont ruin ANY human infrastructure

I think you mean all, as this reads more like “nuh uh, trees don’t ruin anything”

But smarter urbanism is possible and in fact does exist.

And those are not the norm, so for places that don’t plan to just destroy what’s already there and start anew, this is an option

Because there’s no serious answers being given even though there are at least 2:

    • trees have roots, roots ruin any nearby human infrastructure. You’ll note this says “in urban environments” and that there are trees nearby, so this is probably the big reason
    • trees need maintenance, which costs money. this is a stupid reason imo, but it’s one nonetheless
    • algae is cool, ok?

  • My parents were the chill, openly weed-smoking guys that wouldn’t rat you out to your parents if you needed help (like a place to stay while coming down or whatever)

This policy was explicitly because my dad worked yard supervision at the local elementary schools and 100% knew that those with the strictest parents were the ones who needed it the most as they had nowhere safe to go. The abused kids were second, many of them were neglect babies in our area so they got fucked up and went home to parents who didn’t care

I went to a charter school for my freshman year that was mostly full of people who were kicked out of the school they kick you out of if you’re a problem child. Almost all of them were children of parents who worked long-ass days and came home to be strict as fuck

  • Edit: This is meant to be a reply to the scroll wheel thread, I hit the button on the wrong one and am just gonna leave it here

On a phone you’re actually touching the page and physically moving the page around (not really of course but that’s the action it’s mimicking)

A scroll wheel is a button-based command, specifically I think it’s literal origin was a different physical space for PgDwn and PgUp

I can get why people like natural scrolling, sorta, because I invert my axis in some games, but only if they used laptops a lot at some point, as those bridge the gap
