See! I fully agree on the social aspects of your ideals. I would like to give my opinion on your points. Please read them as ideas, not a form of diminishing your thoughts.

Actually, i dont think we do. We produce a lot more than we need (food for 10 billion people) and a lot of crap that only fuels consumerism. Not saying there is an alternative yet but maybe we can agree on “some people definitely need to work for us to survive and thrive.”

from the bottom up, as always. We vote as left as possible (those who still can). We demand UBI, free education, free public transport, fair taxes, free healthcare, etc. We build communities (currently underway) to subvert oppressive systems with mutual support groups, etc.

I personally want to work. It can be fun. I want to do things I’m actually good at. I want to be able to afford food and housing. I want to know that i wont starve if I become sick or disabled. I want to be able to survive when I’m too old to work regularly. I want my family to be safe no matter what.

I think those are pretty understandable goals. I want to live in a world where this applies to as many people as possible.

The point is moot. Social media is like a bar. Every bar has politics at some point. Its always been about frequenting the places you find endearing. Make a community that does not allow mention of politics, hell a whole instance. Block the words, defederate with anyone else. That should do it.

My parents are maybe one notch down from OPs. Mother used to live with a violent alcoholic while raising me and my brother in a too small apartment, feeding us only sugarstuff (not the US but she’s from there) and generally abusing us verbally, physically and mentally, totally abandoning at least my school education and generally gaslighting everyone including teachers, friends and family that shit wasnt as bad. I think growing up in a trailer park would have at least help me grow up without as much self doubt due to all the “pretend normalcy”.

I havent talked to any of them for years and I dont plan on changing that. In no circumstances would I have a date meet these fucks.

The only stick we have is numbers and these numbers are a pain to gather and organize so let’s get to it. When we show people that they will have a chance fighting these fucks we will get the support.

Sorry for butting in but I’m helping people ATM and here is what we do:

• organize protests and strikes
• share information on non Nazi controlled platforms
• participate in any defiance and protest you can and know of
• help neighbors that suffer from the current situation by any means you deem safe
• build knowledge bases and plan
• call out Nazi collaborators
• strengthen ties between local communities

Of course this will not reverse the current situation immediately but I think we all agree that reversing what has been in the making for 30 years will take time. It will also facilitate anything that might come after, even if that is violence.

Btw I was trained by a psychologist (a guy paid by the car company, who is a licensed therapist and has a licensed practice) to manipulate people into buying cars. Mods and admins are mostly for technical and legal issues. You can choose your instance by the rules or male your own. Managing your convos is your job on the fedi.

I think thats reasonable. Thats why we have different instances and communities with different rules. Works great imo.

Braindead take. You can want to exchange ideas without being harassed. There are rules in every instance and community. Mods enforce the community rules. Admins take care of technical issues. Dont like it. Make an unmoderated and (soon) defederated instance. If you just want to shit on people, just move to threads.

I think military service in general is kind of important since you can actually get attacked (thanks to russia for making my point).

We had mandatory military service for men in germany and it was canceled. I sure hope it stays that way bc it isnt efficient to make kids who have better options waste their time on something they dont actually want to do. We have a professional military for that. AND if we had it, women of course must go too.

But besides that especially in countries known for their warcrimes and batshit crazy politics, like the US, I think its clear that mandatory military training would be a bad idea.
