Won’t play due to “VPN/proxy detected” — first time I’ve seen that on youtube. Oh well, guess I’ll have to turn to piracy and watch the whole session later. Suzuka is the best.

I’d appreciate it if everyone could just stop burning fossil fuels, please. Thank you for your cooperation.

kbal@fedia.ioto Formula 1@lemmy.world•New V10 engine twist as shock new claim over F1 2026 rules emerge3·1 month agoIt says the opposite — they do have an engine that will be ready for 2026, unless they change the rules for 2026. They would want the 2026 changes to go ahead as planned for a couple years before then moving to V10.
… Red Bull that is; Ferrari might be the ones pushing the idea of dropping the 2026 change. If so maybe they just think they have an advantage with the current rules and don’t want to risk giving it up.
I haven’t spend a lot of time fantasizing about unlikely crossovers but now that you mention it: Grand Theft Auto + Animal Crossing
kbal@fedia.ioto Formula 1@lemmy.world•Gordon Ramsay being asked what he thinks about the Swearing ban3·2 months agoYeah, that’s what I meant — whoever wrote the joke expected the answer to start with “it’s very fucking important” or the like.

kbal@fedia.ioto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How does the combination of Mullvad and Tuta services compare to Proton unlimited?13·3 months agoProton has the better encrypted email service. It follows the standard and is interoperable with others.
Proton has the better VPN service if you care about port forwarding, which Mullvad discontinued.
But nothing beats Mullvad for looking trustworthy, and it was reliable enough when I was on it.
kbal@fedia.ioto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Those who live outside Europe. What are things Europeans are not ready to hear.0·4 months agoWell for one thing, there is that one obvious thing which Americans and everyone else are also unready to hear: You need to give up fossil fuels. No more coal, no more gas, no more petrol, no more diesel. Some parts of Europe like to think they’re well on the way to that goal but even there for the most part you’ve barely begun and are moving too slowly or in the wrong direction (e.g. biofuels). The hard part cannot be put off for much longer.
Is there some reason why C2-C2-C3 isn’t among those?
