Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Have you gotten a response after asking why you weren't hired?

Open Source@lemmy.ml•Discover Hidden Gems: Open-Source Software You Should Know About
14·4 months agoUnfortunately, its not reliable. For large media files it gets stuck. Also, sometimes the local server is not discoverable on the other end. Even though I tried the troubleshooting step.
I had tested with windows and android so it could be different on Linux.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Do you know a music player from fdroid that does this?
6·5 months agoHave you considered using a podcast player which can play local files?
They are specifically built with annotations and notes and should help better in this regard. I can’t give specific recommendation but you can find a good one on fdroid by searching and using some.

Open Source@lemmy.ml•How would the open source and free software world be affected if most or all software were released under the Sybase OpenWattcom Public License (SOWPL)?
15·6 months agoThis is diluting the Foss moment more than others. GPL and AGPL are more than sufficient in my opinion.
If you care about these things best would be to use a chat application like Jami which won’t end up like WhatsApp.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Voyager users, how many up/downvotes do you have recorded on me?
23·7 months agoInteresting such a feature exists in voyager. If I hadn’t seen this post I never would’ve found it even if I used voyager for years.

6·7 months agoI guess reddit Apocalypse was another one.
Longer than your lifespan, too.

No natural health/mana regeneration. I hate games where you need potions to survive or are limited in your spell usage just because you do not enough mana which was finished earlier.
