Every adult behaves like a child at some point.
Really? That’s one of the most common behaviors among adults.

The alternatives look like they’re not as open, though, so that leads me to believe they only exist to sucker people who don’t know any better onto yet another proprietary platform.

Would reporting fake products even have an effect? It doesn’t seem like an effective system right now, considering all the fake products that get to be sold.

It’s already been a playground for mods with an agenda.
The good thing is that we can all start up alternate communities without the abuse. The problem is that it’s rare to find admins/mods that don’t abuse their power.
If you’re doing anything risky, then you can’t rely on a service like cloudflare.
They are 100% in bed with all of the 3 letter agencies.
If, for whatever reason, someone with power deems your website unpleasant, it will be taken down unceremoniously and any information that links it to you will be used to find and punish you.
