Lighting struck the family’s Volvo when I was a kid & blew off both the windshield wipers. We were on our way to the mall near the house to go to Old Country Buffet for dinner & Pow! Wipers gone, my dad had the PTSD 1000 stare, my mom looked at me and my sister to see if we were OK in the back seat, and I sat there frozen looking at all the spots in my vision.

We went back home and had sandwiches.

I’m partial to sliced romas. You want to slice them kinda thick so they don’t just turn into tomato crisps, though. Diced tomatoes are terrible for pizza & cherries are a little too big to just half. Halfed grape tomatoes work, though.

I’m on 3rd shift & get paid an hour of OT in the fall for working daylight savings. In the spring if you work it you get paid an hour of straight time since you worked a full shift.
