I used to have this yellow dress that I loved and I am pretty sure I accidentally donated it like 10 or 15 years ago, but every 6 to 10 months or so I still think about that dress.

12·10 days agoA no soliciting sign doesn’t stop solicitors, so I don’t see why a welcome mat should have any more power.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's a good non-cash compensation/show of appreciation to a neighbor for cat-sitting?
6·25 days agoI always opt for something you can eat or drink if they say they don’t want gifts. That way it won’t clutter anything up and you were still able to give them something. So if not the beer, some candies or maybe a tray of smoked salmon would be a good idea. Or if the place you are visiting has some type of specialty, like a local spice or fruit, maybe that.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is your favourite fast food burger?
2·30 days agoSuper Duper Burgers, only in northern California right now, but hands down my favorite burger. Second is In & Out animal style.
What’s big, flat, and green and if it falls from a tree on you it will kill you?

A pool table.
This one has been my favorite since I was single digits years old.
