You can’t tell me anyone’s ever scarfed a platter of tatchos and then been like, “let’s do something physical”
toomanypancakes@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What are some things you do when you are home and bored?English7·16 days agoUsually either put on a record, take the dog for a walk, or diddle the skittle
toomanypancakes@lemmy.worldOPto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•How did you fuck up recently?English6·18 days agoFortunately not, cast iron is damn near invincible. Just a lot of smoke and a brief bit of terror.
Nah, that’s less fun
I have to do some cleaning of like dishes and things daily or it gets out of hand. Most cleaning I do weekly though, so it’s not great but I never let it get too bad

toomanypancakes@lemmy.worldOPto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the oldest thing you enjoy on a daily basis?English19·23 days agoOh wonderful, I’m glad to hear it. Don’t suppose you have any tips for navigating her incessant quilting talk while you’re here?
toomanypancakes@lemmy.worldOPto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the oldest thing you enjoy on a daily basis?English5·23 days agoThat’s freaking awesome! Trumpet is so cool, I have one that I wanna learn to play someday.
toomanypancakes@lemmy.worldOPto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the oldest thing you enjoy on a daily basis?English8·23 days agoI just bought my first manual transmission car! I’m loving it so far, definitely hold out as long as you can.
toomanypancakes@lemmy.worldOPto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the oldest thing you enjoy on a daily basis?English4·23 days agoFor me it’s definitely a game! I’ll still boot up an emulator to play super metroid on SNES, and that game is 31 years old. I can’t think of anything else I regularly do or enjoy that’s quite that old, but I could definitely be forgetting something.
Edit: upon more thought chess is way older and I at least do a puzzle daily so maybe that counts. I don’t play actual games that often though.
toomanypancakes@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What grocery items are always worth the extra $1-$5?English4·23 days agoHonestly a lot of stuff I like to get the nice version. Most packaged products you can get away with cheaper, but paper products you wanna splurge on, and produce you wanna get from a local store with good stuff rather than your local megamart when possible. A farmer’s market or even just a neighborhood grocery store is usually gonna have fresher, tastier veggies in my experience. A little more expensive, but worth it.
toomanypancakes@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What grocery items are always worth the extra $1-$5?English1·23 days agoToilet paper too! As someone who needs to use it for peeing, it likes to stick if you get the cheap stuff. Not fun!
toomanypancakes@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What grocery items are always worth the extra $1-$5?English1·23 days agoI can say from personal experience this applies to vegan butter too. Get Miyoko’s, or Violife if you absolutely have to, but for all that’s good don’t get shitty butter.
toomanypancakes@lemmy.worldOPto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's your advice for someone driving their first manual transmission car?English2·24 days agoI was just asking for general tips tbh, I have experience driving and rode a motorcycle for several years, I just never had a manual car before. If that makes more sense?
