5·11 months agoChicago has often been used for inspiration (as well as a number of other cities) but it was originally based on Manhattan/NYC. The name “Gotham” was coined by Washington Irving in 1807 as a nickname for New York City.

4·1 year agoSSO is “single sign on”. DNS is “domain name service”, which is just a way to turn a hostname (like www.google.com) into an IP address. It’s sort of like a phone directory, but for the Internet.

3·1 year agoI wouldn’t say it’s toxic, but many dogs are lactose intolerant, and cheese tends to be high in fat which can lead to pancreatitis if given too much or too frequently.

6·2 years agoThat doesn’t sound right to me. Discounting leap years, you should turn 1 year old on your first birthday at the time of your birth (or considering the existence of leap years, 6 hours later than that, either the day of or the day before, depending).
I will always upvote Ogden Nash.
