I guess we’ll see if he’ll drive somewhere else. Having a former F1 driver in the roster is lucrative for teams because it attracts sponsors. Jack Aitken replaced George Russell at Williams for only one race and didn’t even last that long there, yet, he’s now “former F1 driver Jack Aitken”. Also, it turned out he’s a great sportscar driver who’s now racing Cadillac’s hypercar in IMSA.

The upcoming season in an LMP2 would be a good indicator of Sargeant’s performance. It makes little sense to fire him before that, unless there are non-performance reasons to do so.
