Looking at your post history, I’m just seeing that the down votes look average to me.
If that’s what you’re talking about, I wouldn’t take down votes personally.
Often what people are down voting is bad news, not necessarily fake news or something they disagree with.
If that’s not what you’re talking about, then never mind.

Me too!
I went from a succession of Motorolas to a new Samsung.
The hardware is fast, but OMG it’s full of proprietary shit that is fighting with Android vanilla and FOSS apps that I’m trying to use instead. OneUI is a disaster of compatibility with some apps, including Voyager.

The US Federal Government, and government in general, is a huge set of institutions, governing everything from food production, bank regulation, environmental regulation, the military, disease control, education, and of course, immigration.
Evil people in office make the government do bad things, but at the same time, the good stuff like the regulating the environment, pollution, basic food quality, national parks, freeway design and repair, social security, weather forecasts, etc. tends to be taken for granted.
So when you say you hate the government, try to be more specific, and don’t forget the anonymous federal and other government employees working hard on the other stuff that helps your quality of life.

If you bolt jet packs onto them, yes.
Those “overpriced” products in your local stores?
You’re supporting your neighbors.
There’s also the cost to you of shipping, even if it’s hidden inside the payment for your Amazon Prime membership.
Although these days with the dominance of chain stores, some percentage is shipped out of the community.
Also, shopping locally reduces single use plastic shipping package pollution.
I haven’t shopped on Amazon for over a decade, and only buy something online if I truly can’t find it locally.
And then I prefer buying from the company’s own website, then eBay, then AliExpress, before I’ll even think of one click inside Amazon.
You really don’t know until you need something from them.
But even good people may not be able to help you if they’re not able to right that moment.
Finding good willing people seems to be more of a numbers game.
