The FIA has confirmed that a two-stop requirement will be mandated for this year’s F1 Monaco Grand Prix.
Meh, I don’t think it will change much, but it’s a start I guess. Drastic changes doesn’t work well in this sport.
I would love to see Monaco be turned into a ceremonial race, like all drivers would have the same car and they are older (and therefore smaller) to be able to actually race.
But that would be too radical, so we gotta do with two stops. How exciting!
Should’ve made it a 4 stop requirement if adding one is going to make it that much better.
Monaco is 78 laps long. Force the drivers to do 39 pit stops.
My prediction is everyone will start on softs expecting there to be a crash where they will switch to mediums for the majority of the race at which point they wait for something to happen later where they can swap back to softs again before the end.
