Alpine have announced that they are parting ways with Jack Doohan ahead of the 2026 season, ending a whirlwind experience for the Australian at the team.
Hard not to feel bad for him IMO. Maybe he just isn’t good enough for F1 but he didn’t get the support from the team that we’ve seen others get either. Flavio seemed cold on him from the start.
It seemed like they were never convinced he had the speed even though he didn’t have a great chance to show it while he had a seat. Hopefully he’ll find a drive in another series. If not, he was generally pretty good as a commentator when he was part of Sky’s team so maybe he lands there temporarily?
