i’m seeing some estimates stating ram prices are going to jump 400% by the end of june 2026. major price increases are inbound.
here is some of the information i’m seeing:

- Samsung expects memory shortage to worsen through 2027 and last until 2028

That sounds of interest. What model / make is that?
I don’t think it’s availabke anymore: minisforum ms-r1
Woof. I found a few…but local prices have them nearer $1K.
Good finding, you did.
I was looking at the Halo Strix…the difference between when I started looking and now is about $3K.
Tis to lol. I’ll stick with the tiny/mini/micros (usFF lenovos and HPs). They’re still pretty affordable.
The only thing I cared about was RAM amount cause I have some beefier things I wanted to run (multiple game servers that need 8-16gb ram each etc.) and that was the most affordable option.
Without storage, maybe thats the reason for the cheaper price, but luckily I had some 1tb NVMEs hoarded from the before times.
It has some linux problems, like I couldn’t make the NPU be usable, even though I used the ubuntu image that is supposed to support it, but those issues don’t matter for my usecase
