I had a pen pal in Australia when I (an American) was in elementary school.
The points matter in so far as they can be used as a metric of what is and is not acceptable within a group (or even society as a whole in some cases) as well as what is displayed first for users who use the default sort method.
I feel weird and anxious when I go outside even if I do have my phone with me.
I see a lot of videos showing people’s fucked up McDonald’s orders. Like getting cheese on the OUTSIDE of their burger, not getting any meat, or shit like that.
I have never experienced anything like that, outside of 1 random time and that was at a Jack in the Box where they gave me a brick of charcoal of a burger (thing was completely burned; bun, burger, even the fucking vegetables and it only took opening the box to notice). Absolutely 0 excuse to have served it except to purposely be asshats.
I have to assume that either the specific location people get fucked up food is to blame, or they’re faked.
The prices, and the health of the food is why I don’t go there often. Shits way too much now, and sure it tastes good but eating even a single small burger makes me feel like I ate entirely too much food.
Lack of innovation, which has kind of always been a thing. When something does innovate, everybody else starts copying it. From Doom, to Diablo, to Minecraft to GTA.
There’s also just a general lack of feeling to a lot of big budget bullshit. Technically stable, polished gameplay, great aesthetics; but there’s no heart. No passion. Everyone involved was just there for the paycheck. It’s routine. I don’t really know how else to put it, but it’s the difference between art and simply a product.
Life is the worst STD in existence. It’s highly communicable and 100% fatal.

I’m pretty sure that’s a physical impossibility in the known laws of the universe. Best I can do is wake up earlier to give me time to feel like garbage, but then be fine by the time I have to do anything.

Most of the anti-American sentiment I’ve seen on SM over the last 2 or 3 years has been from Americans. It sucks here unless you’re rich, racist, and/or incredibly stupid.

Following a recipe is a good start, and at least allows you to feed yourself beyond microwaved bullshit or going out to a restaurant. Knowing the science behind it, however, can open up new avenues to making dishes you love even if you can’t get all of the usual ingredients because you will know what you can use instead without compromising the taste or texture.
