I think the misunderstanding here is that because there will always be an Overwatch/LoL/WoW/StarCraft/StreetFighter/SuperMarioWorld/PacMan/Pong that exists, and because this event appears in the statistics to be random, the financiers have a confirmation/perception bias that this is something you can force by shotgunning the market with product. A failure to realize that massive blowout successes are not because of random statistics and hidden secret variables in the market, they’re from a mix of unpredictable behaviors that may or may not even occur.
Each person’s hell is unique and personalized just to them. Lemmy already has this ability to create your own hell built into its core design philosophy. Hell is whatever you make it.
Here’s a list of the beings that live inside of me.
One is an energy being whose sole traits is that it can only live outside.
Grandma did you forget your meds again?
First they came. (For the communists)
Translation: “The limits and bounds of my intelligence are the same as that of an LLM.”
Nostradamus over here. How did you manage to scrap that conclusion together? No one could possibly predict that outcome.
I would suggest taking this issue up with a professional therapis, and not random internet strangers that are most likely AI, corporate astroturfers, government agents, or some combination of the three. We are not here because we want to help you, we’re just the ones that happened to be browsing the public forums at this moment in time. So your answers will vary wildly. I strongly recommend not using the internet to solve mental health problems. Social media can give you validation so you feel good, and we can also bully you so you feel bad, but we can’t reliability help you find a partner.
Do I think you will find someone? I don’t know. How could I possibly know that? Pointless question. How could any of us know for certain what is or isn’t going to happen to you?
Yes, it is possible for anyone to find someone. There are countless stories and historical events describing such things. The concept that love extends beyond physical and practical attraction is something that you are likely already aware of. If you know this to be true, but you don’t believe the evidence, then your issue is psychological. Social media is not the tool to use to permanently solve these types of issues, it can only provides temporary relief.
Nothing has changed. The world is the same as its ever been. Maybe you have discovered a new definition of what you consider evil. What do you mean by evil? I doubt the ones you consider evil would consider themselves as such. There exists no good and no evil. There are only events that transpire and actions that take place. The world has no preference for such human concepts.
Any fantasy by nature must be greater than reality, therefore any reality check must involve some kind of reduction from more fantastic to less fantastic.
No. Abandon your child when they make mistakes. Do not show them compassion by supporting them especially if it makes you uncomfortable. Put your needs and wants over that of your child /S
Jesus fucking Christ dude. Love your child. You’re more lost than he is; and he’s the one dating a dude more than twice his f*ing age.
Public infrastructure and taxes. Internet is handled by or function in a similar way to local libraries. Social media is replaced by locally run forums that use some kind of federated protocol for national connectivity potential. 99% of people don’t need global internet, private ISPs still exist but less people need global high speed connections so mostly businesses and important shit that needs to be off the public connections.
In theory. In reality it’s not on or off it’s always on and it’s high vs low voltage.
Google lost the high ground when AI generated Joe Rogan was blatantly selling crypto scams on YouTube. Advertisers don’t even care about the quality of the advertisements, every single industry that has used advertisement as its primary foundation always becomes a group of crooks living in a cataclysmic house of cards.
Pay only for products or for services. If no payment option exists to receive that product or service - and that product or service alone with no extra baggage/strings attached - then you must assume you’re being scammed.
