That port changing stuff is way outdated and hasn’t been effective for a long time.

Seriously, enlighten me.
The whole point, unless I’m wrong, of Christianity, is to follow the laws of a book.
The same book that talks about women basically being property, killing gay people, and so many other things.
I have a hard time with it. Others have told me it’s like you pick and choose but that doesn’t make sense to me. You are picking a belief, a philosophy, a path. And that whole theme is riddled with bad things along with the good.

Personally I’m running 13 containers for various things. Worth it.
Are you trying to convince me to inVEST in something?
I’m sorry, I’ll leave.
Hopefully they’re far enough apart then, otherwise you can actually reduce performance.
You only need to reduce it if it will interfere with another one of your WAPs. In most cases, auto power settings are fine.
Typically you’d reduce it if you had a high density environment with lots of devices (IE office building) because one WAP and network cable can only handle so much traffic, so the WAPs can load balance or have reduced coverage to split the load.

I felt my comment was rational based on the information presented, just trying to understand. I’m surprised it made you so unhinged.
I’m also not really sure why some random internet handle/username has set you off, it’s not like my username is “I_drop_then_ship_yo_HDDs_lol”.

Also the retailer doesn’t necessarily ship the package either. I think you’re asking more about shipping companies.

Don’t forget about heart bleed, the openssl vulnerability that went undetected for years.
My home shit is also not funded by a Corp with all kinds of fancy threat detection and prevention stuff. I don’t have the time or desire to deal with it, nor do I need to serve other users, only my own needs. Therefore vpn is more secure.
yeehaw@lemmy.cato Selfhosted@lemmy.world•[Help] IPv4 address reaches website, but domain doesn't... (wrong community?)English4·2 months agoIs your web server set up to use a domain? Like if you’re using Apache vhosts or anything, I’m pretty sure you need to configure your domain in there too, and then restart the web server.
As others have said, close port 80. I actually stopped exposing ports a while back. I just configured always on vpn on my phone instead. Much more secure.

I also think Plex probably has open vulns and it’s also a more known target. The nail that sticks out furthest gets nailed down.
