Edit: If the site becomes unresponsive, try disabling your adblock. The site doesn’t serve any actual ads. The issue is probably unintentional, but actually it does add to the realism xD

    Brings me flashbacks to trying to cancel a telecom subscription in France.

    They have services there that will take 15eur or so to do it for you, and yep… it’s worth it.

      Still in the EU, I used a service to switch electric companies. All the telcos offer to cancel your old contract, but then they fight each other and you’re always the loser. It’s unreal.

        Not my experience at all. There are well defined processes, you pay 2 bucks to send a letter with delivery guarantees and its done. Yeah, that’s old school and not online, but it works, comes with legal guarantees and has always been absolutely hassle free for me.

        That being said, not all EU countries are the same.

          You know, I think my mistake might be doing this in person. People can “yes, yes” you all they want, but, like you said, registered mail is legally hardcore.

            You should always assume you’re getting screwed over without a paper trail, plenty of reasons why that would happen, plain greed not being the last of them.
