A HUGE part people dont talk about is how artists will not draw anything for their community unless they are directly a higher up member of that community. Not that there isnt exceptions, but with the modern commission mindset people see every public art as a transaction. Every art community ive tried to join has always had problems with even art trades, people citing the other persons art isnt “good enough” to be a worthwhile trade. Instead of seeing it as free practice or just doing something nice

Obviously there are exceptions, and if anyone knows of any communitys, matrix/discord servers, etc that is artists trying to improve their art rather then sell it id love to join
