I will start by saying I have toyed with posting this because as soon as someone says they don’t wanna see it, someone will make a community for it. However I feel like some of the stuff that makes Reddit annoying is creeping over. And just because I don’t like it does not mean its not a valid community. So if it is least put in the right place (rather that the bigger generic communities) I can then just filter or block it.

  • Am I the arsehole
  • Relationship drama
  • Celebrity worship/drama

    I wish people would limit US politics to comms designated for that, rather than forcing the rest of us to wade through that filth looking for world news. It’s already all over every other news source.

      God damn I know, like you can’t even escape it even in meme communities. The worst is the meme community posts that are literally just news posts in screenshot form. I don’t fucking care, how is a screenshot of something an American politician said on Facebook or Twitter funny?

      Keyword filters work pretty well for this. I have keyword filters for Trump, Musk, Boebert, RFK, and I couldn’t give a flying fuck about if Mitch McConnell is dead or not.

        Yeah, I have keywords for the usual suspects as well, but that requires them to be mentioned by name in the title, and it doesn’t cover US politics not involving those.

      for a lot of people US politics is the only thing that gives their life meaning.
