Requiring public servants to publicly disclose health issues creates more problems than it solves and is not realistically enforceable. In a perfect world, a public servant would want to act in the public’s best interests and would step down if they were unable to do their job effectively.

In reality, that’s not what usually happens but requiring public disclosure of health issues is not going to solve that.
