I mean, it’s either American (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic) Billionaires or Chinese (Alibaba, Z. AI) Billionaires making the models.

And even if you find a model not built by the billionaire class, you still require datacenters to train the models.

And even then, the data required to build these models must take from millions of artists/writers/etc.

I’m not saying you have to hate AI, but saying you can run a model locally doesn’t change who created it and how they created it.

The key difference is that Chinese companies release their models in the open. And nothing is stopping people from building on that using community efforts instead of whinging about AI incessantly. Meanwhile, the data has already been taken, and I don’t believe in copyrights in the first place. There are real arguments to be made against closed proprietary models, but there aren’t really any good arguments against open ones.

Why do slopperators get so red in the face when their low effort slop is criticized for being soulless ugly trash that pollutes not just our environment but our social media feeds? In all my time on the internet, I’ve never seen redditors or 4channers get this upset over their shitposts being received negatively. It’s some new form of AI induced rage.

Well if simply making an image takes more energy than running my fridge for a week then it’s not worth it. Why are you being so obtuse about this?

According to a quick internet search, an average fridge takes 1-2kWh per day, so that’s at least 7kWh per week.

Making an image takes ~20 seconds. My computer, for example, has a 700W PSU, so it can’t draw more power than that. That’s at most 0.004kWh.

Well if 0.004kWh takes more energy than 7kWh then it’s not worth it.

Seems like your statement is going to the else branch.

What part of image gen models run on your computer and use about the same amount of power as playing a game are you still struggling with here? Why are you being so obtuse about this?

Did you generate this yourself? What program do you use? Did you make this FOR yourself? Because you posted it for others to look at. I’m not the only one who doesn’t like looking at it.

To answer your question; it’s your problem I don’t like looking at it. Fuck your dumbass AI.

If it were my choice I’d make all you turn off your computers for a day no matter how much energy it took. Lol. You get a daily limit. Maybe then you’d have to go outside or practice making art that isn’t horrendous AI imitation of real humans real art.

Ah yes, love me some chicken legs on my chilli. It goes really well with the strange deformed orange I keep next to my football. And once I’m done eating, I like to take a walk with my non-matching boots.

I’m not sure this is AI or maybe its only partially. Zooming in to the stock chart all of them are legible. Even if provided the image I wouldn’t expect an AI to preserve text that small.

For the rest of the images the only one that gives me pause is the one with the football.

Either way I’m so tired of having to overanalyze everything and unfortunately we are getting to the point where even the critics mistake AI for human made and human made for AI. At this point I’m not even sure what to do, I just hate it and am so tired

Chili is definitely made with whole ass chicken or turkey legs just chucked in. Also misspelled chili.

Wtf is next to the football for football and why are the two objects smudged together?

Font is definitely the slop font.

        Slop.

For sure. There are many exceptions but generally that’s not how chili looks or is defined by a cartoon icon. That icon would fail in a graphics design class if that were a prompt in the class, for example.

I often cook rice, quinoa, meats in various liquids for the flavor. A relative used to cook rice in V-8 or Clamato juice, especially to make their version of jambalaya, which isn’t my favorite version, but we eat what’s served, barring allergies.

I think it’s ok to admit you’re wrong sometimes. You can be the most based forward thinking person ever and still be wrong about stuff. People just don’t really like AI. You won’t get anyone to come around to anti-art sentiment and that’s ok.

The irony of you talking about being wrong when you claim that running image gen model on a laptop takes more power than running your fridge for a week is really delicious. I don’t expect people in a cult to come around to my opinion either. You’re just noise generators collectively spamming online forums.

The imperial core imploding would at least open up possibilities for different types of development. The US has been the main actor working to destroy every socialist project. With them gone, and China becoming the new dominant power in the world, there will be far more room for socialist development.

you got banned because you are a reactionary who needs to read more marxism, clearly. you insulted me and my country, even though i am a comrade, because you have a weird fixation with labelling everyone as the same. marxism isn’t about internationalist hate. even people in the imperial core suffer and are oppressed,

I would like to ask you to say some words to the American people about anything you want. Please, in English.

I feel the best wishes for the people of the United States. Every time when I know a new American always I have the reason to try to understand your people and I think that every time too. I find that the Americans, the newspaper, the worker, the technician are wonderful people. Really. I appreciate and admire the people of the United States for what they have achieved in technician, in science and because I see that you, your people, is a people well working, is an honest and idealistic people. Clearly that are my feelings, my sincere feeling to the people of the United States. I hope in the future we will understand better and we will be friends.
