I don’t think I’ve ever failed to crack Mastermind, even when I was a kid.
Maybe its a “what type of brain are you” thing? I did it every time and it was so easy. My brothers never could. They’d call me a cheater and demand to know how i did it and all I could say was “you know the rules, just look at the colours man, it solves itself”
Looks pretty similar to a game I had growing up called Mastermind.
Still got mine :D

the answer is 4
You sank my corporate server!

(Not OC, stolen from Reddit)
? I googled connect4, and downloaded the picture from https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2719/connect-four
No, the meme I relied to you with, maybe the image isn’t federating properly?
I thought it would be connect 4.
How does this differ from MasterMind? It looks like the same game with a different name.
Was wondering the same thing myself
Its just Wordle with longer words
I couldn’t remember the name of the game. Looks like I found an off brand version.
Not fair - I count 7 possible colours and 5 places to put them. That’s 16.807 combinations. That’s roughly 14 bits of information. That’s too hard! eMudhra only had 8 bits max!!!

I prefer the physical game, where placing the pins takes longer time.
Doing it on a screen is way too fast and really shows how simple the game is and destroys the suspension.
For kids especially, the game trains the finer motor skill with those tiny pins.
The clue pins are even smaller and tighter to fit, and it’s also harder to figure out how to place those than the guessing pins, so the whole game is designed to be played by two kids, where one is older than the other, or a parent and a kid.
I don’t care much about guessing a random computer generated code. It’s much more fun to play your siblings where the chance is higher of someone using the same code twice or making a code of all the same color, or screw up the clue pins and such.
All of this interaction is missing when playing it against a computer.
Anyway, by playing it online I only just noticed how similar it is to Wordle, which is better suited for online single player.
